We are so pleased to kick of our new design team with this fabulous project from Jenny Gropp. How fun is this little old lady jumping for joy? She’s jumping up and down cause it’s not her turning older! Her name Lillie and its an image from the fun Art Impressions. After coloring her up with Copics I used a Wobble to pop her up so she wiggles and jumps as soon as you pick up the card.
Here are the Copics I used to color Lillie. She’s a little on the skinny side so I had to cut the wobble down so you don’t see it sticking out behind her. To trim in the tiny little areas I used an Xacto knife. I added a little jute string detail around the oval die cut… not as tedious as it seems. I used a fineline applicator to put a small line of glue down and just laid the string along the glue.
I’ve used my Mini Perfect Layer Rulers to add all the yummy layers on the card. The smallest ruler has a 1/16″ edge and its my favorite and most used… those skinny little layers are ideal for card size projects.
I die cut some border edges from the patterned paper and wanted to layer them up. I used the Perfect Ruler and my grid mat to hold everything in place and cut a clean measured edge.
On the inside I always use up the left over paper. Also if you have lots of layers on the front… carry it through to the inside for a nicely balanced and finished card.
